What is Get-The-Ebook.com?
Get-The-Ebook.com is a website that helps you find and purchase inexpensive ebook versions of books that you've already purchased from Amazon in print editions. These inexpensive ebooks are made available through Amazon's Kindle Matchbook feature.

What is Kindle Matchbook?
Kindle Matchbook is an offer from Amazon in which your past, present, and future print-edition book purchases will allow you to buy the Kindle edition at a greatly reduced price.

Where can I find more information about Amazon MatchBook?
There's more information in the Amazon MatchBook FAQ.

What kind of price discounts can I expect?
For qualifying books, the Kindle edition is available for $2.99, $1.99, $0.99, or free.

I don't have a Kindle. Why would I want an ebook?
Well, first of all: if you love books and reading, you should consider getting a Kindle. There's nothing quite like having your entire library, and the Amazon bookstore, with you wherever you go. (And take a look at the latest Kindle Paperwhite.) But even if you don't have a Kindle, you can read the Kindle edition of a book on PC, Mac, iPad, Android tablet, or mobile phone with Amazon's free Kindle Reading Apps.

I bought a print book from Amazon many years ago. Can I still get the discounted ebook for it?
Yes, as long as the publisher has made the ebook available and is participating in the Kindle Matchbook program. Your past purchases are eligible going all the way back to 1995 when Amazon first opened its online bookstore.

Why are the reduced ebook prices displayed as "estimated"?
We estimate the ebook prices based on the price of the printed book and by applying the discount algorithms put in place by Amazon. To confirm availability and see the actual price on Amazon, click the "get the ebook" button that appears after you choose an option from our home page.

The Amazon page doesn't show an e-book discount for my purchased book. Why?
The "MatchBook" discounted price is not available for all books, because authors and publishers can choose whether or not to participate. If a book is part of the program, you'll see the "matchBook" link on the book's Amazon page. We expect that most authors and publishers will eventually participate, so check back periodically to see if the book has recently become eligible.

My Amazon purchase history doesn't show my past purchased books.
Make sure you're logged in with the same account that you used to purchase the books.

I uploaded (or emailed) a pic of my bookshelf and haven't received my customized page yet.
